Baby Ashton

This is the blog of our son, Ashton. There has been so much to say and post about him, it was taking over my personal blog; therefore, he now has his own site chronicling his exploits and documenting his life for friends and family.

Adorable

Ok, I know, I said there wouldn't be another post until the end of the week but what can I say, he's so adorable and he keeps doing such adorable things. Tonight, he and his daddy were in his room folding his clothes and he just climbs right into the clothes basket and starts playing. It was...adorable!!!

Pictures to come!!

Well, I haven't taken many pictures lately but I promise to have some by the end of the week. We are going to Gatlinburg, TN for Halloween and as soon as we get back the Grandparents are coming up. So I promise there will be lots of pictures in about a week.

Tub Time

Yesterday we looked at the tub, today we took a bath in the tub. I think Ashton really enjoyed taking a bath in the tub. He was able to crawl around and play with his rubber duckies. It was fun giving him a bath in the big tub and easy. If the poor thing didn't get so cold so quickly he would probably send 30 minutes to an hour in the tub playing.

shower curtain time

Ashton woke up from a nap and decided that he wanted to play in our bathroom while his daddy stood and watched him. We played peek a boo for a few minutes and then put him back to bed with a bottle. I think he went to sleep. I hope anyways. He is just the cutest thing isn't he? And he has a new toy, a shower curtain. Yes, I know, I am in trouble...especially sense everyone is starting to ask me when Matthew and I are going to have another baby. People, I will let you know when Matthew and I decide that and I promise you that it will be at least 6 more months.

Grandparents come to Louisville

Well the Grandparents came up this weekend and we had a great time. We mostly just played with Ashton at home but we did get out a little bit. We took a Carriage ride around Waterfront Park and the picture of the city is of Louisville from the river front. We stopped at a Cracker Barrel just to shop at there store. That's where we took an adorable picture of Ashton in the rocking chair. Everyone their stopped and looked and said how cute, look at the baby!!!! That made me feel like a proud mommy!!! Ashton had a lot of fun setting on the grass with his Grandmother. I do believe that was the first time that Ashton has touched grass because he really didn't know what to think about it. He kept touching it and then pulling his hand away. It was interesting to watch. I have a lot more pictures that I am just going to post so enjoy!!!!

These boots are made for walking...

These boots are made for walkin'
and that's just what they'll do
and one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.

That song comes to my mind after seeing an adorable little boy in his first pair of boots. We all three got a new pair of shoes yesterday(I got two actually) all for $21. Can you believe it, four pairs of shoes(two pairs of Skechers and one pair of Tommy's and one pair of Old Navy) for just $21 and Ashton's cost the most, ain't that something!! I didn't buy the Ashton the regular kind of boots (you know, the hard ones) because I can't handle those right now. I bought the soft ones, that way I don't get bruises :) Ashton is already acting like a man though, he has his remote control for the t.v. and he's got his boots on and a women who feeds him whenever he says he's hunger and he's already propped up on the couch next to his daddy. Darn it if he ain't spoiled!!!

cold cold cold!!

Burrrrr..... it's cold today. Our high was 51, low was 34. Bur. Needless to say we went for a short walk to enjoy the brisk air. As you can see, we bundled up Ashton pretty good. Doesn't he look so cute with his hat on!! He has a jacket to match it too. He enjoyed the little walk but the wind was too cold for us. But look at the beautiful trees!! Those are in the front of our building. I would love to see them decorated for Christmas.

Shade of a good time

I had an old lamp shade that I was thinking of recovering and I left it in the floor and for a few moments it became a toy. As I type this it has become a toy again, oh good he found something else to play with.

Drawers of Ashton

Well, we finally got an armoire and the first thing we put in it is... ASHTON!!!!
That was all his daddy!! I didn't have anything to do with it. As you can see, Ashton really didn't mind which we thought was weird. Well, I suppose that drawer can hold up to 20lbs, maybe a little more, I don't think that I will try it though. As soon as Matthew and I finish getting our apartment decorated and such I will post pictures for everyone to see. The other picture of Ashton is him playing with the blinds, he really seems to like playing with them. I think he likes the noise and the movement. He also enjoyed biting my tangerines today, right through the bag. I gave him the inside of one and he made a funny face but I couldn't tell if he swallowed it or not.

Don't Lose Your Head

Ashton says not to lose your head this Halloween!!! :)

A Close Up

Hello everyone!!! I just wanted to show you all of the close ups that I have taken of Ashton lately. Also, that will be the last time that he will wear that outfit because it is too small!!! Anyways, he has been such a doll lately, flirting with everyone and trying to get his hand down Jamie's shirt, he almost made it too!!! She set him straight though, told him those were not his to play with. He stopped and just laid his head on her shoulder. He was so cute!!! He has gotten a lot more hair lately too. I might have to cut his bangs because they are getting so long, well one or two hairs are anyways. Ashton tried stage 3 foods tonight. He did real good, no choking whatsoever and he had spaghetti dinner with meat sauce. It actually has small noodles in it. I don't think that he liked the texture of it but he still ate it, he just made a funny face every time I stuck the spoon in his mouth. I bought other stage 3 foods also, like lasagna dinner with meat sauce, bananas with tapioca, bananas & strawberries with tapioca & rice cereal with apples & bananas. Everything sounds yummy doesn't it? Well, we will see how the munckin likes them and I am sure y'all will hear about it.

New Toy Does It's Job!

Last night we bought Ashton a new toy for his crib to see if that would help him fall asleep on his own instead of us rocking him to sleep or him crying himself to sleep. The toy is the big green thing on the side of the crib and by the looks of Ashton it did it's job.

Look at how adorable he is. I would say that he has pinned down the dragon, wouldn't you? Look at those feet, are they just not the cutest thing.
