Baby Ashton

This is the blog of our son, Ashton. There has been so much to say and post about him, it was taking over my personal blog; therefore, he now has his own site chronicling his exploits and documenting his life for friends and family.

Ashton scores!!

Here Ashton is scoring 75 points with his head and then his body! I picked this up at a yard sale for $1.50, best buck and a half I've spent in a long time. This thing has made it all over the living room and if Ashton could get any of the doors opened it would end up outside as well. He loves this thing and he has a lot of his toys in there. Big Ralph is in there, a pot is in there, a pillow from the couch is in there, a teether is in there and so on. As you can see, he loves it!

Introducing the beginning of the Terrible Twos!!

Ok, here we go with the terrible twos, at least I hope this is it. I have decided to take Ashton's bed apart and make it a day bed since he keeps climbing out of it. So, I got the gate off that lowers and I put it aside. I then went to the computer to find directions with pictures because these words just ain't making sense and I hear Ashton start crying, the PANIC crying. So I jump us and run in there and darn it if he hasn't decided to climb the lift gate!!! He can also climb into his high chair though he doesn't always want food when he does that, he just likes climbing into it. The other pictures are of Ashton under his bed playing with what must be his favorite toy. That child likes to sit in there and just play play play. I don't know if he's gonna let a sibling play with that one or not..

Having fun with the Grandparents!

Ashton enjoying the playground at church. He loved everything but the slide!

We meet up with Tiffany, Chad, Bella and Stan for lunch at Chili's and then we put the kids in the back of the truck and let them burn off what they just ate! They had a lot of fun as you can tell!! We really enjoyed lunch, I wish we could do it more often.

Daytona Beach

On our way back to GA from Orlando we stopped at Daytona Beach to show Ashton. I thought that he would not like it and want us to hold in and cry when we put him in the water. Boy did I get the opposite reaction on everything. He loved being in the water! As soon as we put him down, he set there a minute, and then took off towards the ocean! He loved playing in the wet sand and didn't mind it at all when the waves came up to him even though the water was cold! We were only able to stay a few minutes which was a complete shame because I would have loved to get more pictures of him in the water. Since we are so close to Virgina Beach we might spend a few days there and see how he likes that water!! After we got back to GA, Ashton took over his Grandpa's back massager that lays on the couch, in the picture you can see him working the buttons.

Seaworld

Here is our little muchkin enjoying Seaworld and then enjoying my bed!! We had a great time in GA and FL. Ashton was able to enjoy the grandparents and learn new things especially words! He is always talking up a storm now. He loves saying bye bye and waving. His next favorite word has to be bird and he says something else a lot but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. After we got back from Seaworld Ashton was asleep as soon as we put him in his car seat. He slept all the way home and through a diaper change and clothes change. That's why he's asleep on the bed. During Seaworld Ashton saw dolphins which he liked and he saw sharks which he didn't like and he saw manatees which are HUGE, I didn't realize how big there where. We got to see Shamu who is also pretty big, the picture of the killer whale under water is Shamu (from what another park viewer said). I was able to get a quick pet of a dolphin, they feel smooth and rubbery. It was pretty neat. We really enjoyed it all and I do want to go back in a few years. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures, they were fun to take.

LOOK, WE HAVE POSTED A PICTURE!!! I JUST WASN'T GIVING THE COMPUTER ENOUGH TIME!! Speaking of time we had a lot of fun today playing at the play ground beyond my old church. Ashton was able to swing a lot and crawl around in the pine bark flooring and try to eat all sorts of different stuff. He would pick something up and we(Me, Grandmother, Grandpa, and PawPaw) would all say NO at the same time and he would drop it and take off. It was such a perfect warm day to play outside. Poor Matthew is still freezing in Kentucky, sorry hun!! Serves you right for having dinner with Jennifer the other night!
